Ok, you?ve all seen Aunty?s post about Alek Komarnitsky and his
17,000 Christmas lights, and you?ve seen Aunty?s post about how there
is a movement to get him on some national talk shows. Well, it looks
like that may work, and as a result, the Komarnitsky family is now
looking at a major traffic hit, and they are worried that it could
take their little server down, and then nobody will be able to
control... [Continued]

Scribbled by Matt Wilkinson Not too long ago, I upgraded my home
Wireless LAN from 802.11b to 802.11g. I replaced my Speedstream
802.11b Wireless Router with a D-Link DI-524 Wireless Router. By now,
I figured 54g products had matured sufficiently. I had some other
motivations to make the switch. I have two ReplayTV 5000 series DVRs
on my network: one in my bedroom that had to be connected with a
Wireless Ethernet Bridge, and one... [Continued]

What's that ringing sound you hear at this time of year? It's the
sound of store registers ringing up the sales generated by Santa
Claus. Just because he's old, overweight, long haired, unshaven, and
dresses funny, don't overlook his marketing success. Santa is a
marketing expert and you can become one, too, if you follow his
marketing methods. What's that, you say? You don't believe in Santa
Claus or you don't celebrate Christmas? It's true... [Continued]

I have a question for you. What was your most 'what was I
thinking' sort of moment in recent history? Mine had to of been today
when I was coming back from running errands, put my car in park, then
proceeded to gather my things. Believing all was well and my car was
securely placed in park, I noticed the car parked next to me starting
to move backwards. Sitting there in a state of... [Continued]

Firewall along with NIS2005 I installed Sp2 all was fine (boot up took
about 40sec) until I received three updates from MS, one of them was a

One thing about the holidays that is enough to drive a guy batty
is the onslaught of calls. My personal favorites is 'what brand of
(insert product here) should I get for (so and so)? Now while a large
number of these callers are either current or past clients, a large
number of them are nothing more than people looking for some fast,
free advice that will prevent them from buying electronics that turn

Whether you are working towards an MCSE or an MCSA, you will be
expected to know the ins and outs of Microsoft's Software Update
Services (SUS). This topic normally falls under the objectives of
Install and Configure software update infrastructure and Manage a
software update infrastructure. The best way to learn about this
component is to download it and install it. You can download the

Sci-Tek Gallery 3D Screensaver - Do you want to
impress (or depress) your friends with your digital photos? Present
your most important digitally-captured moments (embarrassing and
otherwise), people (embarrassing and otherwise), and places (like
Nevada, Scotland, or Graceland) in a Sci-Tek 3D virtual gallery! Every
time you stop working on the computer because you're a slacker and
your boss has gone on vacation for a week and you can probably get
away with it (unless the office snitch catches you, in which case
you're probably going to be getting fired sooner or later, anyway), a
3D virtual gallery will fill your screen and present your digital
photos. Maybe they can be blackmail snapshots of the office snitch in
a compromising situation with the copy machine repairman at last
year's office holiday gathering. You do what you think is right! [Download
