The program runs an open source flight simulation program, Flight Gear. Screen items are written in open GL and the flight dynamics model is written in C+... I need to add another instrument to the heads up display (HUD) on the screen and drive it with an additional but separate flight dynamics model similar to an existing FDM function already running. Ultimately, I need to adjust the screen appearance to optimize the pilot's understanding, so numerous changes can be expected. As yet, I cannot trace the source that drives the existing HUD display.
