Tsunami hits east coast; over 3,000 killed
Over 3,000 people were killed and several others went missing as tidal waves
swept the entire east coast of the country on Sunday morning. Tsunami waves
measuring over 10 metres swept the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra
Pradesh, Orissa and the Andaman and Nicobar islands.
