Microsoft has announced its acquisition of New York-based
Giant Company Software Inc., makers of Giant AntiSpyware,
Spam Inspector, and Popup Inspector. (Microsoft will

Microsoft will use the acquisition to create an antispyware

>From ExtremeTech:

Toshiba has announced that it plans to offer an 80GB version
of its 1.8-inch hard drive, a storage platform that could be
used in a next-generation Apple iPod. The new model is the
first in the world to include a storage technique called
perpendicular recording. The technology will be used to
create both a 40GB and an 80GB drive; they should be
released in April and July 2005, respectively. Find out more
