MACK BROWN TO GET RAISE Texas officials plan to announce a contract extension and raise later this week for coach Mack Brown, who has the Longhorns in their first Bowl Championship Series game. Meanwhile, Brown said he expects assistant head coach/defensive ends coach Dick Tomey will be named San Jose State head coach on Tuesday.
