I have inherited about 500 2 1/2 Guilden and 100 1
Guilden coins in circulated condition, mostly from
1950s and 1960s. My mother-in-law was living in
Amsterdam when they switched to copper-nickel and she
hoarded this pile of coins, which ultimately wound up
with me here in Texas!!
Any suggestions on the best way to liquidate these in
the US market, for bullion or otherwise? Was hoping to
get a small premium above selling to a refiner. Since
they are .720 silver, I'd have to sell at a discount
over actual metal value due to the refining challenge,
i.e. get $850 or so for $1250 worth of silver (5000g
of .720)
Any advice appreciated!
thanks,
Joe
