Title: Install sound card to computer with onboard, integrated sound?

Infopackets Gazette Reader James M. writes:

" I have a Compaq Presario 7360 and would like to replace my on-board
(integrated) sound card with a third-party, PCI sound board (such as a
SoundBlaster). How do I go about disabling the on-board sound so that the
computer will recognize and use the new sound card? "

> Confused about burning CDs?

------------------------------------------------------------

MP3 or Music CD? Data CD, multi-session, ISO, track-at-once, or disc-at-
once? Mixed mode, bootable, Mode 1, Mode 2 or UDF? ISO-9660 compliant or
Joliet file system? What's the difference?

Enough already!

Most CD burning applications are loaded with tons of techno-jargon that
confuse most computer users (let alone, newbies). And with a plethora of CD
formats, creating a CD -- whether it's an audio CD for your car, or a data
CD for your computer -- can certainly prove to be a difficult task.
Thankfully, there's a much easier solution (and you don't need to be a
rocket scientist to use it)!

How does it work? Answer:

Infopackets Gazette Reader Jim W. writes:

" Dear Dennis,

As a computer professional, I enjoy your newsletter a lot because I learn
so much from it, and the information is usually relevant to me and a lot of
my clients.

Now, I'd like to ask you this. I find myself frequently formatting /
reinstalling Windows for many of my clients (because their copy of Windows
is too messed up to attempt any type of quick-fix). When I do a reinstall,
there is often a ton of Windows updates I need to download, regardless of
which Windows Operating System I'm working with. Is there any way I can
consolidate steps by somehow integrating the Windows Updates into a fresh
install of Windows? "

> Does your computer constantly crash with Blue Screens of Death?

In that case, you might need to reinstall Windows.

It's true! Sometimes, Windows gets so gummed up, that the only option is to
reinstall.

But don't worry -- it's easier than you think!
