Not my loss, you're right the mast base imploded that day while that
person was racing the C-100 race here locally.  Can you believe it
imploded in the middle of the race and they still finished it with the
mast sitting on the crossbar?  Shew, that takes balls.  There were 20-40
knot winds gusting that day.  Lots of carnage to boats and people
(someone almost lost their eye), but the race went on and some people
finished.
