Over the years, I have had my share of encounters with all sorts of people on numerous forums and groups. Some good, some bad. Now in a recent development here on coinsclub, CARL has accused ME of INSULTING him. Well, I hate to tell you Carl, you are absolutely WRONG!!! I felt bad that perhaps Mopar and I had been discussing things about US Half Dollars which in the substance of the postings, did not provide sufficient insight for the casual observer to tell that the discussion was on US Half Dollars. So I just pointed that out and asked whether you had perhaps missed all of the talk we were having on that particular type of coin. I do not intend on starting to write my postings where I am 100% sure that each and every member fully understands the contents of the message. I understand that we do live in an global community where numerous languages and cultures are involved. Having said that, you can't satisfy ALL of the people, ALL of the time. What I can start doing however, is to begin ALL of my postings with the name of the recipient so that, if your name is not the recipient, then you have NO right to comment on the contents. Now, is that what we want here or for that matter, anywhere on free forums? All of you know about the TRASH postings that we have been and are still getting here and on MOST groups and forums. It is just a part of the Internet as you all know. Email boxes are full of them. What do we do about it? Nothing...The delete, next, previous keys are there for that purpose until technology can make something better. One last thing. For ALL of you that do not understand, American Sarcasm...the next time you THINK that you are being insulted or slammed...think American Sarcasm and MOVE ON because chances are there was no personal insult intended...just some fun poking which at times may be difficult for some to understand. Will I stop the sarcasm? NO... Art Tokyo P.S.
