How about size and weight and maybe vintage? That data can sometimes be a clue as to input electrical power and output torque. Then measured resistance (with ohm meter) and estimated power can be used to estimate voltage and current requirements. By size I mean physical dimensions and especially the spacing of the flange mounting holes.
