Job Description & Responsibilities Would be
responsible for �day to day cases from solaris /
netapp end. The case may include, installation,
configuration, troubleshooting��setting up servers and
configure the same for usage. Knowledge of Veritas
Volume manager is desirable.
�1st level esculation on each site.Any activity which
involves upgradation�
Desired Profile of the candidate
Solaris Level 3 Engineers who have strong command over
Unix skills with more than 3 years of work experience
on the following areas:�
Solaris Level 1 and Level 2 knowledge on �like�,
�passwd file�, �shadow file entries�, �mounting
problems�, �links�, etc.� Strong exposure to Veritas
Volume Manager, Veritas Net Backup, and Veritas File
System is desirable�
NIS or NIS+�
Automount,NFS,Boot Process (Detailed),Jumpstart�
Troubleshooting Solaris Desktop / Server problems.
Working knowledge on enterprise server. �
Scripting (Should be able to write scripts and
automate , minimum)� Adding/Installing Packages /
patches that are required.
Knowledge on one or any of the following backup
technologies: Veritas, Ligato, etc.
T3/A1000 configuration knowledge is a value add.
