This is not a bad link. It is just the instructions are not clear. Took me sometime, but I downloaded the books.
Do the following: 1. go to www.free-itebooks.com <http://www.free-itebooks.com/> 2. On the right hand side, you will see a selection for "Free Visual Basic". Select this. 3. Move mouse curser to "O'Reilly-Programming." and RIGHT click on this. 4. Click "Save Link As." 5. You will get "OReilly--Programming_Visual_Basic.pdf.part1.rar.pdf" as the default file name to download. This is an RAR file and not a PDF file so the last "pdf" must be removed from the title. Then save program to your computer. 6. This file now has the ending tag of RAR on it. You must use something like WinRAR to extract it into the pdf file. Once you do this, you're home free.
