Ya, that was my own take on the matter also.
I talked to one guy tho who had been in the truck tire business for a
lot of years, who was deadly insistant that for highway speeds you
have to have *at least 1.5" to 2" clearance fir "air cooling" so they
wounld'nt shred themselves at highway speeds.
Maybe he had only dealt with really heavily loaded 18 wheelers or
highway dump trucks.
