Hi there, we are right now working on the outstanding AUTOCOMMIT feature, which does exactly what you are talking about.
Right now a cypher statement is part of a transaction, not being able to be broken up. That means, the transaction size will be big with big manipulations, and thus be forced into memory before commit.
