Hi Samantha, glad that you made it so far.
You imported the data into the "target/db" directory. Please note that this directory as it resides in "target" might be deleted if you run "mvn clean" which cleans out the whole "target" directory. So better specify a different directory to import into like "graph.db" (without the target/ ) To use it with the server you have to copy the _contents_ of that directory, into /path/to/neo4j-server/data/graph.db eg. cp -r target/db/* /path/to/neo4j-server/data/graph.db And only after that start the server If you use neo4j-shell without a server you also have to provide the path neo4j-shell -path target/db Please try, that and it would be awesome if you would write it up in a blog post. P.S. Did you see the "binary download" instructions?
