I've been playing with a neo4jdb for a few months and I plan to install
this db on a server in the coming weeks
I've already tested different neo4j configs but I'm not sure I have found
the best one. Therefore, it seems better to ask the experts :)
Database primitives:
- 224,114,478 nodes
- 417,681,104 relationships
- 224,342,951 properties
(but it will continue to grow in the future)
Graph:
I suspect that some nodes may be huge hubs (till 1M relationships) but that
should remain exceptional.
Database files:
- Nodes store db = 3.064Gb
- Relationships store db = 13.460Gb
- Properties store db = 8.982Gb
- Properties store db string = 5.998Gb
- Properties store db arrays = 1kb
Server:
Windows server 2012 (64bits)
Usage:
- Mostly graph traversals using cypher queries.
What would be your advices about :
- hardware sizing,
- the neo4j config :
- heap size,
- use memory size buffer (is there any particular reason to use false
for windows (default value) ?),
- recommended cache type,
- recommended jvm parameters for windows,
- ...
