For those interested in Nixie pricing trivia I have been tracking the ebay auction selling prices of the Burroughs B-7971 tubes since July 2007 and occasionally posting updates. I may have missed one or two, but here is the latest summary. This data is for tube only auctions!
Tracking period: 7/23/07 to 9/9/10 (37 months) Total number of tube only auctions: 158 Total number of tubes sold: 635 Total amount spent: $30,579.56 Average price per tube: $48.16 The average price per tube has not really moved as substantially as you might think. It still less that $50 per tube, but the overall trend is obviously increasing over time. I have posted a PDF of the results in the files section titled “Burroughs B-7971 Price Study 11Sep2010”.
