It has a built-in ultra stable bandgap voltage reference :-)

I bought them at a local electronics shop for around 5$ a piece. They are still 
obtainable, somebody just think they should sell them as they were gold, not 
old chips :-)

Anyway, it works fine for me :-)

I am still working on the PCB layout for the tubes, i was originally working 
with a round footprint for the pins, but when you have several tubes alongside, 
and need to route all the pins i parallel, you really run short of space, so i 
got the great idea of mounting the tubes in standard DIL format, 14 pins, not a 
problem, and routing the pins is easy.
