I am afraid, I am mislead bij the remark it should be an loboratory item and
I looked only well to the second (and third) photo.

Closer inspection of the first photo shows it is an "ordinary" PandiconR
tube. 

Sorry about that.

Anyhow, a 14 digit Pandicon is intresting to build a clock plus calendar.
However, a calulator should be better.
