I use to do fancy lawn displays, but still an order of magnitude below this stuff. I started in the 70's. Back then I had to make my own circuits for chase lights, starting with neon ring counters driving TRIACs, which in turn, turned ON the incandescent light strings. Later, I switched to TTL logic (driving those same TRIACs). Now you can by a string of lights with a 3 or 4 channel controller, with multiple sequence options, for 10 bucks, or less. Under 5 bucks, after Xmas. It seems so futile. Of course, these extreme boys, use fancy controllers, that are hooked up to their PCs. Here are some past efforts, for comparison: http://holdman.com/christmas/video.asp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmgf60CI_ks -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group.
