Side note on inductors. On paper the Bourns RLB0914 series of coils specs close the 220uh coils that All Electronics use to sell. But in actual use, they suck. The old All Electronics coils could deliver 45mA (at 180V) using my MK1.5 (MC34063) supply, but the Bourns coils will burn up in an hour with only a 25mA load. Don't you just love the smell of burnt phenolic in the morning.
