Exactly the same thing happened to me too Wayne....replacing a tube in my
Nixichron and pop, off came the glass nipple on the base of the IN-18....the
holes in the PCB aren't that forgiving...;-(. I threw the tube away a long
time ago, but I have the odd one that could do with cathode regeneration,
just haven't got around to it. Some nixies with different noble gas mixtures
would be cool...Krypton/Argon mixes etc could give some great colours....
