I live in the Seattle area, Bellingham is quite a drive north of here. There
is tons of stuff to do, though. If you are into hiking, then you should pick
up a copy of this book before you go:

It all depends on how much time you've got available to you. If you have
more than a day, you might consider driving down to seattle to spend a
night, just to take in the touristy seattle things.
