A quick Google search for this tube yields Dieter Waechter's excellent
page, which lists the typical current as 4.5 mA.

This data appears to be the average of the min and max recommended
current, given in the German data sheet you referred to:

I would go with that recommendation. If it's brighter than you like, you
can modulate the brightness by pulsing the tube on and off.
