Here is a link to the original clock that he copied his design from,
"ONCILLA":
http://www.emsp.tu-berlin.de/menue/studium_und_lehre/mixed-signal-baugruppen/digitaltechnik_back_to_the_roots/die_digitaluhr_oncilla/

They also have this nice E1T Geiger Counter, "CARACAL":
http://www.emsp.tu-berlin.de/menue/studium_und_lehre/mixed-signal-baugruppen/digitaltechnik_back_to_the_roots/caracal/

And a scale with Nixies, "SERVAL" :
http://www.emsp.tu-berlin.de/menue/studium_und_lehre/mixed-signal-baugruppen/digitaltechnik_back_to_the_roots/die_personenwaage_serval/

For those of you who want to learn how a bistable latch (Flip-Flop)
works with valves there is a very nice look at this in the ONCILLA
document with all calculations, voltages and currents plus Ia / Va
diagrams with loadlines! Very nice to learn from.

All of these documents are only available in German, but they
translate nice in Google if you extract the text.

At the bootm of the main page ahere:
http://www.emsp.tu-berlin.de/menue/studium_und_lehre/mixed-signal-baugruppen/digitaltechnik_back_to_the_roots/
you'll find all of the PDF-files in one list. I really recommend these
for a good read. On nice feature of the ONCILLA clock is the mains
oscillator part which uses a large choke to keep the frequency running
even when small errors on the mains line occurs.
