When you show someone the time, then it gets interesting.

I was discussing this issue with my wife last night. It's a tradeoff for durability. Broken tubes are the number one failure mechanism in my current product. I have grommets on the tube nipples, supported by a metal ridge, to keep the tubes from moving around and cracking when the watch is dropped. An extra-big crystal to show the grommets isn't exactly appealing.

I plan to experiment a bit with the design to find the best compromise.

As far as size goes, some people like a smaller watch and some don't. Why not offer a choice?
