Hi!
The first 2 pictures show one of the first prototypes, developed by Heinz
Greif, GDR.
Only a few were made.

PS: I have about 40 known variants of the Z566M/ZM1040 in my list.

Subject: [neonixie-l] two versions of Z566M ?
Hi there, i just found this and im bit confused about the first two
pictures. All of the Z566M tubes i saw were the nipple top ones. How
rare are the round top ones? They look really unique. I think these
might be nearly impossible to find, not sure though, please correct me
if im wrong.
And by the way, what is the difference between Z566M and B566M ? They
look the same to me, but maybe they have different order of the
numbers inside? I know that the ZM1040 for example have different
order of the cathodes (i can talk only about the ones made by Tesla)
than the Z566M but they use the same pin layout so its just how
everything is connected inside.
