a good tutorial regarding techniques and very practical. The author also 
runs the EEVblog and produces videos at  
http://alternatezone.com/electronics/ which are hugely entertaining in a 
very Aussie-sort-of-way....

Some of the chip manufacturers (e.e. TI) have good tutorial too, but they 
are more advanced and tend to be focussed on specific areas (SMPS, 
low-noise op-amps, ground planes etc.)
