I ran into a box of about 1000 various tubes and posted half of them  on 
ebay.
 
Agreed... ECL86 is 6GW6   - they sold instantly.
 
ECC83/12AX7A - they also sell instantly
- many variations in price as well.  Have two left.
 
At least you know the tube you have has some value.  :)
 
Hard to find people wanting tubes for TVs; however, there seems to be a  
large following for Audio (amplifiers and CDs) still.  :)

an EL84/6BQ5.  So it would be useful  for audio service.  In fact, the 6GW5 
was popular for low-powered  amplifiers
in Australia for a while.  If you look for EL84 or 6BQ5  circuits, you 
should find plenty you could build with that tube,
as those  have been popular output pentodes for quite a long  time.
