I'm waiting for the 600V version.  There were some cute little fixed 600V power 
supplies on ebay a while back, but I've used all the ones I bought, and haven't 
seen any more.

What are the objects (that look somewhat like 9V rectangular batteries) in 
front?

Is that slab of aluminum sufficient heatsink?  I suppose you could blow a fan 
on it, or even bolt on a finned heatsink if need be.
