I like the upside down 5...speaks to the history of the tubes and the
apparent necessity of cost savings! I have an IN-8-2 clock without spacers
with LED underlighting and it looks pretty good (personal preference
though...).

Post some pictures when you're done...would be interested in seeing the
IN-8-2 atop spacers...
