Before I damage something, it is possible to use a single Supertex HV5812 to
drive nixie tubes and LEDs (for color effects) simultaneously? Of course, I am
planning to use current limit resistors for the LEDs and the Nixie circuit I am
planning to use is exactly what I have used in the past, except that this time
I will be using the Supertex part instead of the 71141 or the russian
counterpart. Thanks in advance.
You'll have to use pretty high current limiting resistors on the LEDs, as that
part is only rated to sink 3.5mA max, which isn't much for an LED. It would be
tricky to dim LEDs with it, so it would be pretty much on/off. However, it
seems to me that it would work.

You can use this circuit when you use Output high I_OUT:max = -25mA ...
but you musst drive the Led with a extra circuit and 5V on HV ... and
LED-Resistor.
