Hi all- I picked up a Beckman SM-854 counter awhile back with some kind of panaplex display. Does anyone happen to have a datasheet for it? I was hoping it would be easy to figure out, but when I opened it, it is on some kind of ribbon that looks like it is made out of a paper like substance (just describing it visually) and it is difficult for me to see traces.
There are 6 ICs on the ribbon. 3 in a row on one part of the ribbon are SN7475Ns, and the next section closest to the display consist of two Beckman DD-700, and one DD-702 decoders/display drivers. The display itself is a 1 with a plus minus sign and two 7 segment displays. The back of the counter has 3 separate blocks of 14 pins each. I'm still a beginner with reverse engineering, so if noone has a datasheet, I would also appreciate any suggestions on figuring this out. I thought it might make a fun project.
