For a lot of solid data on battery replacements, this is a worthwhile document: http://www.butkus.org/chinon/batt-adapt-us.pdf The MR-9 adapter I mentioned has issues with size, cost, and current capacity, but does well in many cameræ. Other approaches work better in other situations.
