I wonder if it is possible that Haydu, approached Burroughs to design and build both the 6700 beam tube, and this tester, already having their "numerical display tubes" developed??? Ira.

Hi all,

Sorry, but I couldn't help myself when writing the subject line. Some time ago I came across some Burroughs documents which included this Haydu document. I have now scanned it and the accompanying "6700 Test Chassis" which was stapled to the "Haydu engineering data report 6700 Magnetron Beam Switching Tube (MO-10)".

I hope this can help in setting straight the discussion about what Haydu and Burroughs did and in what order. This datasheet predates the other 6700 datasheets, that I have seen, that only has the Burroughs name on it by more than a year.
