That was on the FLW he did with Pete Hand - The problem was, I believe, 
that the orientation of the GPS connector on the PCB was rotated through 
180 degrees or moved to the other side of the board (whatever!) which 
resulted in all the pins being mirrored, so each puck had to have the 
miniDIN-6 connector cut off and a new one re-wired... Jeff mentioned having 
to do 100s of them...

I have one of these FLWs and they are lovely - mine has pride of place on 
our bedside bookcase...
