Eric, I think you are confusing it with the other book by JB Dance - he wrote two that are relevant for us. "Electronic Counting Circuits" is 390 pages, whereas "Cold Cathode Tubes" is indeed much shorter. My copy of the latter looks just like that in the photo and is an original. Both were published by Iliffe.
