they were 50 years ago. That story changes for the big tubes with 2"

On a whim, I just bought two 50mm plano-convex lenses to see what a
magnified 5092 looks like. I have no idea what kind of results I will
get, but if it's even remotely decent I'll post photos in a few weeks.
