I'd say that they nailed Steampunk. That is not a bad price for this item.

Says 6-16 hour battery-life, so with those tubes it's gotta be a pretty
big battery, maybe 3500mA-hr. 2 months in standby seems pretty short, so
it's
probably running a small CPU in sleep-mode.

Mine (still working on the case) draws 2uA in standby, and therefore
limited by however long it takes the Li-ion battery to self-discharge.
But when the display is on, I'd be lucky if I got 2 hours with it's
1050mA-hr cell.
