hi all, here is a little old panaplex clock i found in a thrift shop for $5 it
had a worn out hour display that i replaced by desoldering with copper braid
and just put i a new one and disturbed it as little as possible, the motor still
worked and i replaced the 3uf 250 cap with a 22 uf cap at 450 vdc stuffed it
back into it's case and it had kept fine time for the last week, even if there
is a glitch (like a segment bar won't light )there are no electronics to glitch
,just wait for the next min,and it will self correct via motor power. this
sucker is old 42 years (the year i started to build nixie clocks) and made by
the same guy that did the first desk top world clock,Edwin M stanley, President
of Data-Time, Incorporated.
