EM4s (CV1434) are pretty rare and expensive and old ones are often in poor 
condition. The 6CD7, EM34, CV394, 6M2, and 64ME are exact equivalents. The 
EM4 has a German P8A locking base...

You can replace them with alternatives such as the far cheaper Russian 
6E5C, e.g.
