Hi

I choose to place the drivers on the main pcb, because of space and 
changeability. 
Yes true, no mounting holes here because of my wooden construction. I also 
have a layout with matching holes to the main pcb (make the tube board the 
exact same size.)

What would you suggest for constant current regulator? I used a 10k 
resistor at 165V input.
