Hi all,

Here's a video of my latest clock:

No neon or nixies, but it does have a VFD and speech chip that are both more
than 30 years old. The VFD had some faulty display electronics and sat in my
junk box for years. Eventually I managed to get a data sheet and identify
a couple of dud 74 series TTL chips by poking around with an oscilloscope
and my even older necktop based logic analyser. Remarkably the ROM that
held the character generation data was intact. There's plenty of memory
space left in the AVR to cope with a GPS receiver and more fancy display
when I get around to it.

Cheers,

Morris
