Hi David I think you're right that something like a "Lab" section could go down well. I am just not sure if it is main site or Forum at this point.
Do you have any clear ideas about what would work for you (and others)? A couple of things to bear in mind: - Main site has a higher bar to entry: The posts have to look professional, and that means we need to put additional work into the text and provide some visuals (e.g. pictures, sketches or videos). There is a comments possibility for each story, but it's a bit limited. I'm prepared to put in editorial work, so you could just deliver photos and a sketch of what you want to say and I'd take care of the rest. - The forum seems like a good fit, but I don't want it to dilute the discussions on this group: that would be counter productive and is not my aim at all. I'm more interested in giving the community something additional that it does not have at the moment - http://www.tubeclockdb.com still has a fair ranking on Google, (but it has dropped a lot through stagnation) and is still the higest ranked "non-aligned" (i.e. not owned by someone just selling their own products) site. I'm working to recover the rankings, but that's a long road. What are your thoughts? Perhaps we take it off line so we don't bore people here...
