I remember the Jeff Thomas NixChrons were all shipped completely assembled 
with tubes installed. They were packed very nicely in a bed of nice soft 
foam rubber though. I have 3 of them and none arrived damaged. I would 
think it shouldn't be a problem. Not sure about Pete's clocks. Be a good 
question for him directly
