Paolo,
The two anode terminals are there for ease of manufacturing. They are
connected together internally. You may use either one, depending on what
is easier for your board layout.

Hello.
I am about to test and the do something with a bunch of 5870S tubes,
both ITT and Siemens.
From the datasheet I see there are two anode terminals, but there is no
indication of a reason. Were they made to simplify wiring? Or to make
the anode more stable? Should they always be connected together? Can one
be let floating?
For a test I wired only one anode and all digits light up normally, so
I'm puzzled.
Thanks,
Paolo
