It is really about preferences. NL tubes have really fine anode mesh made of thin wire, and Z566Ms have hexagonal, sturdy mesh cut out from thin plate. I have few american tubes and I'm in love with their transparency and visibility of digits. On the other hand, Z566Ms have better digit shape. They are also bigger, but I think that overall look of a lamp is more important than it's size - that's why I think CD47 are overrated, they have weird digit shapes and the internal construction isn't pleasing. If I ever had one, I would sell it for the ridiculous price it goes for immidiately and I'd buy myself a set of six better looking tubes. Still, 50$ for a new tube is too much for me, I'd prefer buying something cheaper or used.
