I like to get my tubes out and stick them in my 'one tube clock' - a testbed that has just about everything I have ever considered putting into an actual clock - it has three different types of current limiter deep in that rats nest for example. One day I will build an actual one tube clock I can plug different tubes into, just as soon as I have finished messing around with this one! It is at least running some actual software, so it *does* display the correct time in a pleasing way.
