If you know how to build a power supply already, then it is personal
preference. There are quite a few ready-made ones available. My personal
preference is the Taylor Edge HVPS because of its wide range of input voltages
and the amount of control you have over the output (and it is very small). The
power supply I have used most in my bread-boarding is this one:
http://r.ebay.com/1swHVD because it is easy to connect and has a variable
resistor to control the output voltage.

Having said all of that, I have designed my own too, so that I can squeeze it
into a small board layout.
