@Pete - Does the phosphor show any signs of burning when the tube is off ?
Maybe the static pattern of the clock-face is the problem. I dont know much about phosphor degradation, but I cant help wondering if it's not 100% cumulative. For example, if one section of the tube is illuminated at 10% duty-cycle and another section at 100%, perhaps the 10% duty-cycle section might last *more* than 10X longer than the 100% due to heating or other effects. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group.
